My husband has lived in Kansas now nearly 20 years. I asked him recently if he has ever gotten used to our rolling, loud, gorgeous thunderstorms. He confirmed he has. And he will now happily sit on our back porch with me, watching the storms roll in. Opening the shutters in our room so we can hear the rain and the thunder while we fall asleep.
