Knotty

This one was unexpected. Gritty, earthy and warm. I think it was inspired by admiring stunning mid-century architecture and woodwork with my mother today, but honestly it drove itself here ... I just let this one go where it wanted. I’m a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright and Don Drummond. I could imagine this gracing an entry with wood beams all around. “Knotty,” is a 36”x60” acrylic painting on canvas.
